**RegexPilot** is a visual regex builder for macOS that uses the **real regex engines**, not approximations, and includes optional AI assistance.

### Real interpreters, bundled

RegexPilot ships with the actual runtimes as sidecars:

- **Python** → CPython

- **Ruby** → MRI / Onigmo

- **Java** → GraalVM-compiled OpenJDK

- **C#** → .NET 9

- **PHP** → native PCRE

- **Perl** → bundled microperl 5.36.3

Each flavor executes patterns against its real engine in as little as **1–3 ms**.

### Built for visual thinkers

Regex doesn't have to look like an unreadable password.

- **Visual builder** — drag components onto a railroad diagram and click any element to edit it.

- **Live testing panel** — inspect capture groups and test replacements in real time.

- **AST-based editor** — edits modify the syntax tree directly, and the regex source is regenerated automatically.

### AI assistance, your way

AI features are completely optional:

- Bring your own API key for **OpenAI**, **Anthropic**, **Gemini**, and more.

- Or run models locally through **Ollama** or **LM Studio**.

- The Pro tier also includes a bundled AI subscription if you'd rather not configure your own providers.

### Privacy first

- **Voice dictation runs entirely on-device** using a bundled Whisper Tiny model.

- **No analytics, no tracking, no account required.**

- The only network request is license validation via **Lemon Squeezy** when activating Pro. Offline activation keys are available on request.

RegexPilot is fully functional for **30 days**. After the trial, it gracefully reverts to **JavaScript/TypeScript-only mode**—the most common use case.

Your existing library entries for other regex flavors remain visible but become **read-only**. Nothing breaks; you simply lose access to the additional sidecar engines and AI features unless you upgrade.
